Directive 2000/14/EC

ENAVE operates as a Notified Body for assessing the conformity of noise emission levels of machinery and equipment intended for outdoor use, in accordance with Directive OND 2000/14/EC.

Compliance with sound power levels is an essential requirement for placing products on the EU market. It aims to ensure the protection of citizens’ health and well-being, as well as the protection of the environment, by limiting noise pollution produced by industrial, agricultural, and construction machinery operating in open spaces.

ENAVE is accredited for the certification of all types of machines listed in Article 12.

  • builders’ hoists for the transport of goods (combustion-engine driven)
  • concrete-breakers and picks, hand-held
  • construction winches (combustion-engine driven)
  • compaction machines (only vibrating and non-vibrating rollers, vibratory plates and vibratory rammers)
  • compressors (< 350 kW)
  • dozers (< 500 kW)
  • dumper (< 500 kW)
  • excavator-loaders (< 500 kW)
  • excavators, hydraulic or rope-operated (< 500kW)
  • graders (< 500 kW)
  • hydraulic power pack
  • landfill compactors, loader-type with bucket (< 500 kW)
  • lawn trimmers/lawn edge trimmers
  • lawnmowers (excluding agricultural and forestry equipment, and multi-purpose devices, the main motorised component of which has an installed power of more than 20 kW)
  • lift trucks, combustion-engine driven, counterbalanced
  • loaders (< 500 kW)
  • mobile cranes
  • motor hoes (< 3 kW)
  • paver-finishers (excluding paver-finishers equipped with a high-compaction screed)
  • power generators (< 400 kW)
  • tower cranes
  • welding generators
