La Vela che Unisce: A Benefic Event for Social Inclusion in Fano

ENAVE is proud to participate in the organization and promotion of “La Vela che Unisce”. It is a charity event to be held, in Fano (Italy), on Saturday, July 20 and Sunday, July 21, 2024. This initiative, organized by the Rotary Club of Fano, supports the Anffas-Itaca “Tutto Incluso” Project, consistent with Goal 10 of UN Agenda 2030: “Reduce Inequalities”. The event aims to promote social inclusion, counter all forms of discrimination and reduce inequalities for people with disabilities, especially intellectual and neuro-developmental disabilities, and support their families.

ANFFAS ONLUS association in Fano is responsible for the design and establishment of the Socio-educational-Rehabilitation Center “Centro Itaca”. The Center offers people with physical, mental and sensory disabilities a pleasant space to live, open to the community. The “Centro Itaca” is a multifunctional place consisting of a large farmhouse, four riding stables, an area for raising farmyard animals and an equipped green space. The “Tutto Incluso” project aims to fund extraordinary maintenance work necessary for the center’s activities, which supports 40 disabled users who attend the day care center from Monday to Friday and hippo-therapy activities twice a week.

Schedule of the Event

The “La Vela che Unisce” event will consist of two days of social inclusion and sailing, in which ENAVE will participate in the forefront.

Saturday, July 20:

At 4 p.m., at the Marina dei Cesari dock, Fano (PU), the meeting “On the Raft to Ithaca: Safety at Sea” will be held with Umberto Verna, Founder of SAFETY WORLD. and Director of the Center for Studies for Safety at Sea “I ragazzi del Parsifal” in Rimini, he is also, Professional Deep Sea Sailing Instructor and Safety at Sea Specialist.

The day will end with a Gala Dinner at “La Tressa” Restaurant in Fano (PU), during which a drawing for a travel voucher will be held.

Sunday, July 21:

At 11:00 a.m., the Sailing will kick off, followed by the awards ceremony and a buffet, offered by the Rotary Club of Fano, in the spaces of the J-Del Capitano Restaurant in Fano (PU). To participate in the sail, you can contact lavelacheunisce@rotaryclubfano.itby e-mail.
